My Testimony of God’s Faithfulness

   I am thankful for this journey called motherhood .  I have walked this path with God by my side and I am grateful for how far I've come.  Raising a child alone is not for the weak but God has been faithful and has given me wisdom to do this.  Through the years of feeling alone and frustrated, I can thankfully say that I am happy that God has given me the strength and grace to do this. Not by might, not by power but by his spirit . All my daughter sees is strength and perseverance. In February of this year, I saw some fluid coming from one of my breasts and I went to do an ultrasound. She told me not to worry as my results would come back okay. Deep in the back of my mind, I was worried for my child and started to beg the Lord to give me some more years to spend with her . I am thankful for life and all that the Lord has blessed me with. Living and Teaching English in Cali, Colombia: A Jamaican Perspective





 I had the opportunity to teach English at a university in Cali, Colombia. Cali is known as the City of Salsa, and as a Jamaican who loves music and dancing, I had an amazing time learning Salsa Choke and experiencing the vibrant culture.

This was my first time travelling abroad, and it was an unforgettable experience. Living in another country allowed me to step outside my comfort zone, experience a new culture, and grow both personally and professionally.

In the book, I share many of the memorable experiences, cultural differences, funny moments, and valuable lessons that I learned while living and teaching in Colombia.

During my time there, I discovered that Colombians and Jamaicans have much in common. We share a love for sports, especially track and field and football. We enjoy meeting new people, our cultures are warm and welcoming, we appreciate fashion, and we both enjoy delicious food.

Learning Spanish opened doors that I never imagined possible. It gave me the opportunity to travel, teach English, appreciate another culture, and build lifelong friendships with wonderful people.

God is The Author and Finisher of Our Faith

  Some people will never understand your story. However, that's okay. Our validation doesn't come from man but God. He is the author and finisher of our faith.  I know that I have not been on here for quite awhile for I am back to share with you. I was living in another city for almost 2 years raising my daughter who will be 7 years old.  That's right, I now have a 7 year old child.  It has not been an easy journey. Motherhood is not as simple as it looks. It is a sacrifice. God has been good and he never fails. I have been amazed at the wonderful things that my daughter has been doing and her  passion for life.  There are days when I felt like giving up doing it by myself but I always remember that  God didn't bring me this far to leave me.  For all single mothers, continue to trust God and know that He will never leave you or forsake you.

Children Are a Blessing: Finding Strength in Motherhood

I’m learning that motherhood isn’t always easy. Some days are long and exhausting, filled with endless tasks and sleepless nights that test your patience. There are moments when you feel completely overwhelmed, and it’s okay to admit that. The weight of responsibility can feel heavy and the challenges can seem never ending. But in the middle of it all, God reminds me of one unchanging truth: children are a blessing from the Lord (Psalm 127:3). Every little smile, every laugh, even the lessons learned through tears are gifts meant to enrich our lives and shape our hearts.
