Easter Reflection in the Pandemic | God loves you

 Easter Reflection

In Jamaica, we love to eat our bun and cheese and fish during Easter time. For others, it may be about the Easter bunny and going egg hunting or scavenger hunting. Before the pandemic, it would be a time of reveling and partying especially in Jamaica.

Let's use this time to reflect on a few things. Let's reflect on our lives and know that tomorrow is not promised to anyone. A lot of lives have been lost due to COVID-19. My condolences goes out to all who lost a loved one. 🙏

Where would your soul go when you die? Let's be honest, some of us haven't given this a thought but it's very important. God loved us so much that He sent his son, Jesus to die for us all to save us from our sins. By His blood, we are redeemed, we are made new. Once we give our life to Christ, we are a new creation. We are set free and when we die our souls go to Heaven.

If you haven't watched 'The Passion of the Christ' by Mel Gibson, I implore you to watch it and you will understand the depths of God's love for us.

I will leave you with two scriptures to read:

John 3:16 NIV - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

1 Corinthians 15: 12-16 NIV -  But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?  If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either.

Let's give God thanks for all He has done. He is worthy to be praised. Happy Easter!

The Roller Coaster Ride of Breastfeeding | Breastfeeding Journey| How to stop breastfeeding

There are a lot of mothers out there that would love to breastfeed their child. Breastfeeding is really a roller coaster ride. No one prepares you for it and shows you how to stop doing it. I am going to be sharing a little about my breastfeeding journey and how I eventually stopped breastfeeding. GOT MILK? When I gave birth to my daughter in 2017, no one prepared me for the journey that I would endure. My milk ducts were totally dried up and the nurses were telling me that I MUST breastfeed my daughter. However, after showing them all of my attempts to extract milk, they finally gave in and offered to give her some formula. I thought they would make her starve to death due to their strict breast feeding policy. I was finally able to breastfeed after 5 days. My flow of milk was also very slow and I had no choice but to supplement breastfeeding with formula. She was constantly crying after she was breastfed and I knew she was still hungry. When I left the hospital, the nurses had ...

Reflect on the Previous Year| Make Plans for the New Year | Make Positive Changes

As we wave goodbye to the old year and welcome in a new one, it's an exciting time to reflect on the previous year and to give God thanks for the hurdles that you overcame. 🙏 The new year is a chance to start fresh, set goals, and make positive changes. If you're looking to make the most of the new year, the first step is to take some time to reflect on the past year and think about the lessons you have learnt and also remember to celebrate your wins.   What did you achieve? What goals did you set but not quite reach? What could you have done differently? Taking the time to consider these questions will give you a better sense of what you want to focus on for 2023. Once you've reflected on the past year, you can start making plans for the year ahead and ask the Lord to guide your steps and help you to be disciplined and consistent. Proverbs 16:9 says The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps .  Consider what you want to focus on and w...
